Our senior consultants come from a wide range of backgrounds, experience, styles and areas of specialism
They will often take the role of lead consultant on a programme and are actively involved in designing and delivering most of Faraday’s work.
Stephen Burt
Stephen has firsthand knowledge of the many challenges facing senior executives. Much of his work deals with the practical trials of leadership and personal effectiveness. He brings over 20 years experience in the civil service and local government, including high profile senior posts in the Department for Education & Skills and the Government Office for the South East.
Ross Hutchison
What stops people being great leaders and being ambitious for themselves, and
their teams, fascinates Ross. He has great interest and skill in evaluating how
organisations work together (or don’t) and what gets in the way.
Zarine Jacob
Zarine supports people in building extraordinary professional and personal lives.
She especially enjoys enabling people to work effectively across cultures. Her
style is gently challenging, flexible and collaborative.
Sarah Smith
Sarah knows that space to think is often in low supply in busy organisations.

Martin Hadland

His pragmatic approach means he is particularly effective at improving individuals’ strategic capabilities. Martin specialises in helping maximise personal confidence and has conducted extensive research into the qualities of effective virtual team leaders.
Mary Gadd
Mary has a keen interest in our individual differences - and how they create
both benefits and problems for government. She engages with personal concerns as
well as the strategic context. She understands that people are often under pressure
from conflicting agendas or balancing policy against delivery.

James Paterson
After 5 years in the Civil Service, James spent 20 years in a major Pharmaceuticals company, reaching Vice President level. He is now a freelance Consultant pursuing his passion in supporting effective and ethical organisations and leaders.
Elizabeth Forbes
Elizabeth has many years experience at senior levels in the public sector. In local government, she moved from educational policy and planning into corporate management, working for four different councils, including Chief Executive of a local council.
