James Paterson
After 5 years in the Civil Service, James spent 20 years in a major Pharmaceuticals company, reaching Vice President level. He is now a freelance Consultant pursuing his passion in supporting effective and ethical organisations and leaders.
After a number of Finance roles, James developed a range of innovative global leadership programmes, culminating in receiving the Award for the best high potential development programme in the UK (UK HR magazine, 2002).
James has also worked in the governance, risk and ethics arena, building a reputation for his practical and insightful approach, as a thought-leader in professional publications and as a keynote speaker at risk, governance and audit conferences across the globe (most recently at the Academic Corporate Governance conference in Greece).
James has a BA in Mathematics & Philosophy, MA in Management and qualifications FIRO-B, Facilitation, and the Psychology of Coaching.
James is committed to helping his clients reflect, with support and challenge, on how they exercise power, authority and leadership with a view to enhancing both their effectiveness as leaders and their personal well-being.
